Sound Factory Live Engineer

Joss started his Career in the Music industry after completing his Degree in Audio & Music Production. From this, Joss created opportunities to engineer front of house at live music venues and worked with various bands within different genres. Joss continued to progress and engineer for bands within recording studios, working relentlessly to facilitate optimum efficiency (time is money for artists!) and quality mixes for clients.

Joss has been playing guitar and bass since his early teenage years, and has taken on various roles within touring bands. He has played on tracks that have seen festival stages, radio and television, all of which highlights his talent and skill as a musician. Due to this experience, Joss has worked alongside some of the best producers/engineers in the South West, thus bringing with him a wealth of knowledge, and tips and tricks of the trade. He also has ten years worth of experience managing staff and working within the customer service industry.

More recently Joss has started work at the University of Plymouth as an AV Technician, and is now part of the Sound Factory Team too. Joss gives us expert advice and works with us as a live sound and studio engineer. As an advocate for a change in music education, Joss sees and supports the impact Sound Factory Music School has on students, and continues to work with us to provide the best possible live and studio engineering experience available.
